Rich Ranallo, Mike Slivka and Jesse Sauer are the Storytellers of the chronicle. Pretty much anything you think is wrong with the game can be traced back to them.
The ST crew can be contacted via e-mail at WhiteCityST@gmail.com.
Out of the numerous mailing lists maintained by Chicago: the White City, this one is the most important. The OOC list is the first place where announcements about the game come from the staff, and the “official” place for discussions about the chronicle itself. The staff will generally assume that all players have kept reasonably up to date about the OOC list. Sign up for the OOC list here.
This is the list that’s used to narrate any public scenes that take place between game sessions; characters who have announcements, arguments or discussions to roleplay in any of the typical Kindred hangouts in town can post their scenes here. The IC list is moderated by the Storyteller in case there’s a dispute about any posts. Sign up for the IC list here.
These lists are restricted to characters of a particular clan. Players can post in or out-of-character information here, but messages are considered to be said in-character unless marked with an [OOC] tag in the subject line. Follow the links below to sign up for a particular clan list.
These lists work exactly like the clan lists above, save that they’re restricted to a given covenant instead of clan. Hit the links to join.
Communicating via e-mail with other individual characters is fine, provided that everyone involved actually has the means to contact one another. In general, it’s a good idea to CC any e-mailed scenes between characters to the ST address; even if they don’t get read right away, if a dispute comes up later, it’s best that the Storyteller has documentation to go back on.
When you’re roleplaying via e-mail, please remember that the characters in Chicago: the White City are all far too intelligent to post their secrets and information on the Internet in any form. Players use e-mail lists to run scenes that happen face-to-face in locales throughout the city, through pen-and-paper letters or what have you. Characters do not, in any case, belong to online discussion lists where they disclose information that would violate the First Tradition. If you want to play a character dumb enough to do this, please notify the Storyteller ahead of time so he can say no.
